Requirements

 
General qualification
Able to communicate well in Thai
Have high responsibility, details oriented, and be honest throughout the entire process of selection, written examination, health examination, and oral examination.
 
Specific qualification
Must be Thai nationality with age not over 28 years old (counting to 15th of August 2016, the date when the semester start)
Education qualification of the candidates
Graduated from Mathayom 6/Grade 12 or equivalent, or studying at Mathayom 6/Grade 12 and will graduate within this semester, according to the ministry of Education in a Sciences-Mathematics program.
Candidate must have the accumulated GPA from Mathayom 4/Grade 10 to Mathayom 5/Grade 11 no lower than 2.50 (If candidate has graduated high school the overall accumulated GPA will be use). All subjects result should not be lower than grade of “C”, in any case that the candidate received lower grade of “C “in any subjects the final accumulated GPA must be no lower than 3.00. OR
Graduated from international school or studying and will graduate within this semester at the international school in Thailand equivalent to Mathayom 6/Grade 12, equivalency of knowledge certificate received from the Educational Information and Registry Group of the Office of Educational Testing (OET), Committee of Fundamental Education, Ministry of Education. OR
Graduated High School from aboard or studying at high school aboard, in the level equivalent to Mathayom 6/Grade 12, in the program of Sciences and Mathematics. Received equivalency of knowledge certificate from the Educational Information and Registry Group of the Office of Educational Testing (OET), Committee of Fundamental Education, Ministry of Education. Candidate must present the original documents on the date of the interview and health evaluation.
 
For graduated either international school in Thailand or aboard:
IGCSE/GCSE International Certificate of Secondary Education, consist of, 3 subjects Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics or Physics. One of the 3 subjects result must not be lower than grade of “A” OR
IB (International Baccalaureate) Standard Level or Predicted IB scores with Chemistry, Biology, and Physics in group IV or Mathematics in group V. One of the subject result must not be lower than 6. OR
SAT II results in subjects of Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics or Physics. One of the subject must not be lower than 525. OR
Examination result in Sciences and Mathematics from aboard which equal to Mathayom 6/Grade 12 and one of these subjects Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics subject’s result must not be lower than grade of “A”.
Other examination results will be considered by Admission Committee.
 
English proficiency qualification
  Candidate must present the original documents on the date of the health examination, and oral examination.
IELTS, Academic type, with score no lower than 6.5 and in all of the skills (Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing) must not get score below 6.5 or result of IELTS UKVI equivalent to, OR
TOEFL score not lower than (paper-based test 550, computer-based test 213 , or internet-based test79, OR
TU-GET score paper based test not lower than 550
  Note: English Proficiency examination results must be valid and must not be over 2 years old starting from the date
  the exam took place until interview day.
 
Additional Qualification
  Specific provision for candidates who wish to study Doctor of Dental Surgery (Bilingual Program) is conduct in
  appropriate manner from 3 factors, which are (1) will not cause harm to patient, (2) will not cause harm to student
  itself, and (3) will not become obstacle for studying, according to these:
Have the qualification to work at government selection or in any department of government after graduated. Being able to sign one side agreement or optional agreement with the government, according to the rules and regulation from the government and the university.
Candidates for Doctor of Dental Surgery (Bilingual Program) must be in good health, free from disease, and symptoms from disease or disabilities that will become an obstacle for learning, operating, and practicing medicine according to these:
Suffer from severe psychological problems which could do harm to themselves or other, for example: Psychotic Disorders, Mood Disorders, Severe Neurotic Disorders, Personality Disorders, especially Antisocial personality Disorders or Borderline Personality Disorders. This including other types of psychological problems that could become obstacle to studying, operating, and practicing medicine.
Suffering from Infectious diseases at critical stage which able to harm themselves or other, can result in permanent disability. This also could become obstacle to studying, operating, and practicing medicine.
Suffering from noninfectious diseases at a stage where it become obstacle to study, which may cause harm to themselves or other.
Have a disability at the point where it becomes obstacle to studying, operating, and practicing medicine.
Candidate is suffers from one of the following Visual impairment:
Severe Color blind on both eyes, which already been test and examine thoroughly
The level of sight on good eye is worsted than 6/12 or 20/40 when already fixed
Have hearing disability in both ears, with the average hearing at 500-2,000 hertz, higher than 40 decibel. Speech discrimination score lower than 70 causing from sensor neural hearing loss.
If present later that the candidate is ineligible for any of the above requirements, given false information, or intentionally concealing crucial information. The applicant will be disqualified from Doctor of Dental Surgery (Bilingual Program) even if they had passed the examination.
 
Conditions for Applicants who wish to apply Doctor of Dental Surgery (Bilingual Program)
Is not currently studying Doctor of Dental Surgery (for those who wish to study Doctor of Dental Surgery) at other university/government institution (expect when the applicants have resigned before April 11, 2016).
Cannot request to transfer to Doctor of Dental Surgery (Thai Program) which also opens by Faculty of Dentistry at Thammasat University.
Applicant must undergo testing and certify that he/she is qualified in accordance with the notification that applications are being accepted for the Program. Should the university, in its own investigative inquiry, discover that an applicant possesses qualifications in any one area that are not consistent with the aforementioned notification, it shall be understood that the applicant is unqualified and thereby ineligible to enter the program of study. If, in this instance, the application fee has already been paid, the fee shall not be refunded to the applicant under any circumstances whatever.
