Master of Science in Integrative Medicine
Plan 1: Academic Plan
1. This plan focuses solely on a Thesis, which is equivalent to no fewer than 36 credits. The academic institution may require students to take additional non-credit courses or participate in other academic activities; however, students must achieve the performance standards specified by the institution.
1. Educational Background: Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Nursing, Thai Traditional Medicine, Physical Therapy, Applied Thai Traditional Medicine, Chinese Medicine, Science, or a related field from a university or institution accredited by the University Council.
2. GPA Requirement: Must have a cumulative GPA (GPAX) of no less than 2.75. Applicants with a GPAX lower than 2.75 must have at least 1 year of work experience in a related field.
3. International Students: Must meet the criteria specified in items 1 and 2. In cases where the applicant is a scholarship recipient, they must pass the selection criteria of the respective funding organization.
2. Coursework and Thesis The study plan consists of both coursework and a thesis. Applicant qualifications must comply with the Thammasat University Regulations on Graduate Studies, B.E. 2568 (2025), and meet the following specific requirements:
1. Educational Background: Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Nursing, Thai Traditional Medicine, Applied Thai Traditional Medicine, Chinese Medicine, Physical Therapy, Science, or a related field from a university or institution accredited by the University Council.
2. GPA Requirement: Must have a cumulative GPA (GPAX) of no less than 2.75. Applicants with a GPAX lower than 2.75 must have at least 1 year of work experience in a related field.
3. International Students: Must meet the criteria specified in items 1 and 2. In cases where the applicant is a scholarship recipient, they must pass the selection criteria of the respective funding organization.
4. Students enrolled in the Doctor of Philosophy in Integrative Medicine (International Program) at Chulabhorn International College of Medicine, Thammasat University, who fail the Qualifying Examination twice, are eligible to transfer to the Master’s degree program. To receive the degree, the student must complete all coursework and thesis requirements according to the Master’s degree curriculum structure.
Doctor of Philosophy in Integrative Medicine
Type 1: This plan emphasizes a thesis that generates new knowledge. The institution may require students to take additional non-credit courses or participate in other academic activities as needed.
1) For applicants holding a Master’s degree or equivalent:
A. Must hold a Master’s degree in Health Sciences, Science, or a related field from a domestic or international institution accredited by the University Council. Applicants must have a cumulative GPA (GPAX) of at least 3.00. Must have at least one (1) publication in a peer-reviewed academic journal or a full paper published in academic conference proceedings. Must provide documented evidence of at least one (1) year of work experience in a related field.
B. Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine, Dentistry, or Pharmacy with a valid professional license, AND have completed a Master’s degree, or have been awarded a Diploma/Certificate of Proficiency in medical, dental, or pharmaceutical specialties. Alternatively, applicants may hold an equivalent qualification to a Master’s degree from a domestic or international institution accredited by the University Council.
2) For Applicants Holding a Bachelor’s Degree
Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Health Sciences, or a related field from a domestic or international institution accredited by the University Council, meeting the following criteria: GPA Requirement: Must have a cumulative GPA (GPAX) of at least 3.25. And, must meet at least one of the following requirements: At least one (1) publication in a peer-reviewed academic journal. At least one (1) full paper published in academic conference proceedings. At least one (1) petty patent (Utility Model) awarded. Must provide documented evidence of at least one (1) year of work experience in a related field.
3) For Applicants Currently Enrolled in a Master’s Degree Program, this applies specifically to students in Plan 1 (Coursework and Thesis) of the Master of Science in Integrative Medicine (International Program) at Chulabhorn International College of Medicine, who must meet the following criteria:
A. Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Health Sciences, or a related field from a domestic or international institution accredited by the University Council. Must have a cumulative undergraduate GPA (GPAX) of at least 3.25 OR have graduated with at least Second-Class Honors from their undergraduate institution.
B. Must be currently enrolled in the Master of Science in Integrative Medicine (International Program). Must have completed at least 22 credits of coursework. Must maintain a cumulative GPA (GPAX) for core/required courses of at least 3.25.
