PhD Degree

Plan 1 (dissertation only)

          Plan 1.1 Graduate, who completed master?s degree, does dissertation for no less 48 credits. The student must study MED711 Seminar in Integrative Medicine 1 and MED 712 Seminar in Integrative Medicine 2 and received P grade (Pass) excluding credit. 

 

          Plan 1.2 Graduate, who completed bachelor?s degree, does dissertation for no less than 72 credits. The student must study MED711 Seminar in Integrative Medicine 1 and MED 712 Seminar in Integrative Medicine 2 and received P grade (Pass) excluding credit. And/or study other courses depending on the decision by the student advisor for dissertation. 

 

Requirements

General requirements

 

Master Degree

1) Group 1 (clinical dissertation) is the graduate who completed bachelor?s degree in doctor of medicine, doctor of dental surgery, nursing science, physical therapy, applied Thai traditional medicine, Thai traditional medicine, and related branches from approved university or educational institution and has a medical license in the studied bachelor?s degree or

2) Group 2 (dissertation in social science medicine). Qualitative research for graduate completed bachelor?s degree in medical science, public health science, health science, or related branches from approved university or educational institution.

3) Have grade point average no less than 2.50.

4) Student who does not meet with the requirement 1) ? 3) will receive conclusion from the program?s committee.

5) For international student who uses English as a primary language, he/she must meet the requirement 1) and 2). The student must meet the requirements of scholarship provider in order to be eligible for a scholarship.

 

PhD Degree

Study Plan Type 1

1) For candidate who completed master?s degree, he/she must completed master?s degree in Thai Tratidional medicine, public health science such as doctor of medicine, doctor of dental surgery, nursing science, physical therapy, or other related branches from both domestic and foreign educational institution that the university approved. The student must have grade point average for no less than 3.25, has at least 1 research article published in an academic approved journal. If his/her grade point average is less than 3.25, the student must have work experience in related branch for no less than 2 years, or received approval from Graduate Studies?s committee, Chulabhorn International College of Medicine, to apply for the program. Nevertheless, the graduate must not complete his/her study from Independent Study (IS).

 

2) For candidate who completed bachelor?s degree, he/she must completed bachelor?s degree in doctor of medicine, doctor of dental surgery, or other related branches from both domestic and foreign educational institution that the university approved. The student must have grade point average for no less than 3.50, work experience in related branch, and at least 1 research article published in an academic approved journal, or received approval from Graduate Studies?s committee, Chulabhorn International College of Medicine, to apply for the program.

 

3) For candidate who are studying in master?s degree, Integrative Medicine, Chulabhorn International College of Medicine, he/she must meet the following requirements:

            3.1) Completed his/her bachelor?s degree study in doctor of medicine, doctor of dental surgery, nursing science, physical therapy, applied Thai traditional medicine, Thai traditional medicine, or other related branches, has a medical license in the studied bachelor?s degree, or completed his/her bachelor?s degree in medical science, public health science, health science, or other related branches from approved university or educational institution. He/she must have grade point average for no less than 3.50. 

            3.2) Studying in graduate level in Integrative Medicine, has grade point average of 3.50 or higher, and registered courses for no less than 12 credits.

            3.3) Student advisors and program head came to an agreement to allow the student to study in Doctor of Philosophy Program in Integrative Medicine. In doing so, the student must pass the requirements and complete his/her dissertation equal to Ph.D.?s credits, and accumulate study time to meet the requirement of Ph.D.?s regulation.

 

4) In case of foreign students who use English as their primary language, they must follow the requirement 1) and 2) as mentioned. The students must meet the requirements of scholarship provider in order to be eligible for a scholarship.
